As someone who reads menus, looks up parking, and generally worries about any new/unfamiliar situation, I want to ensure that anyone who wants to come to Vibin' Skin Spa can comfortably do so by providing responses to FAQs.

Vibin' Skin Spa is located at 2175 NW 86th Street in Clive. It is in the 2-story building across from the 86th Street entrance/exit to Natural Grocers. Vibin' Skin Spa is in Suite 6, which is on the 2nd floor nearest to the 86th Street side of the building. It is easiest to park on that side of the building, enter the door on the side under the 2175 numbers, come directly up the stairs (assistance will be provided if desired), and it's the first suite on that side. There is also an entrance in the middle of the building and on the opposite side.
If you are newer to the esthetics treatment world - I can help! Think about what you want out of a treatment is a great place to start. Do you want some relaxing "me-time"? A 60-Minute Custom Facial or Back Facial is a good option. If you want to enhance your natural features to keep your "get up and go" time, a Lash Lift/Tint or Brow Lamination/Tint can make a HUGE difference! If you're concerned about your skin features (acne, rough texture, dullness, etc.), a Treatment-Based Facial would be your best bet. I am always more than happy to help find you the right patch to meet your wants and needs.
Generally, you can wear whatever you like! Some things to consider for certain appointments are:
Waxing - Wear loose fitting clothing around the area to be waxed. If I can not easily access the area to be waxed, clothing will need to be removed and a towel will be used for modesty.
Makeup - Wear something that can easily be removed without going over your head (i.e. a zip-up or button-up). If it must go over your head, please ensure it is loose-fitting.
Facials/Body Treatments - Think relaxation! For most facials, you will be asked to remove clothing and jewelry from your upper half so that I can massage your neck, shoulders, arms, and hands. If you prefer not to have these as part of your service, please let me know and we can make adjustments.
The short answer is within 10ish minutes of your appointment time (earlier, not later, than your scheduled time) is good. I do block time between appointments and generally arrive to the Spa 30 minutes before my appointments so that I can be available for early arrivers (like me). If the door to the Vibin' treatment room is closed, please wait in one of the lobby areas for me to come out (feel free to browse the shelves). Vibin' Skin Spa is independently owned and operated by yours truly - Sara. There are two other businesses located inside the suite (affectionately called The Spalon): Hair by Jenna and JM Beauty. Jenna is a long-time friend, former co-worker, and super talented hairstylist! Josselyn is a beauty school classmate who is a lash extension specialist.

Please call or text 515.612.8688 as soon as you know you're going to be late. Depending on the appointment type, how late you will be, and what other appointments I have booked, we may or may not be able to complete the service as intended. We will discuss options when you call. If you don't give notice that you will be late or won't make it, you will be marked as a no-show (see below).
Vibin' Skin Spa appointments must be reserved with a credit card number. Your credit card will not be charged prior to your arrival unless you fail to arrive for your spa services without talking with me in a timely manner (ideally no less than 24 hours), in which case a 40% deposit will be acquired from your card.
Any exceptions? I understand that things come up. People get sick, work gets crazy, and so on. If you must cancel within 24 hours, please reach out to me. On a case-by-case basis, I may approve your last-minute cancellation and will put that deposit towards your rebooked service. If cancelling and rebooking becomes a pattern, I may have to ask you to find somewhere else to receive services.
Why do I have this policy? Trust me, this isn't comfortable for me to talk about. The reality is, this is my job and how I help support myself and my family. When I block time for you and you don't show up or cancel last minute, that hurts. Just as it would be unfair for your job to decide last minute not to pay you - or stand you up on payday entirely - it's unfair to me as well as other guests who would've booked in your place.
Vibin' Skin Spa accepts cash and card payments. You are required to have a card on file in the event of a no-show or late cancellation (more on that above). We can use this card or another form of payment at check-out.
As for tipping -- tips are not expected. Unfortunately, the checkout system that I use does not have the option to disable to gratuity prompt, so it will appear on the signature screen, but please disregard. I once had a service provider tell me she would rather I put that money towards a future service and that experience really stuck with me, as our services are often seen as a luxury that isn't accessible to everyone. If (and when) you enjoy your service, I very much appreciate pre- and re-booking, reviews, and referrals.
Yes! To purchase a gift card, please click the "Click Here to Book Online" banner, which will redirect you to my booking site. From there, click "About" and then "Gift cards available here". Purchase your gift card - you can either have it emailed to the recipient or to yourself. If you send it to yourself, you can print out this pdf of a certificate and fill in the "redemption code" portion from the emailed card. This will allow the recipient to redeem the gift certificate at Vibin' Skin Spa.
If you'd prefer to do this in person, please book the "Product Pick-Up" service to ensure I will be available to help!
Yes! I have limited stock on-hand based on current purchasing trends, but am always expanding! If I don't have something you want or need in the Spa, I am happy to order it for you or provide you with links to purchase at your convenience.
